We expect everyone in our campus community, including employees, workers, contractors, students, invitees, and visitors to be treated and to treat each other with dignity and respect. Misogyny, harassment, sexism, sexual violence against women, and domestic abuse have no place in our society, and we have a zero-tolerance approach to these behaviours. Zero tolerance means that: (i) we will take action and; (ii) the action will be proportionate to the circumstances of the case. Action could include disciplinary action and could result in dismissal from the University.

In some circumstances, as part of our commitment to nurturing inclusive environments, and to help combat discriminatory or unlawful behaviours, we will ensure that all staff and students are offered relevant Equality, Diversity and Inclusion training, and that the University has clearly communicated its policies to members, including helping people to understand what action they can take if they are affected by or witness misogyny, harassment, sexism or sexual violence against women, and how the University will support them.

For more information, see our University policy on Tackling Misogyny and Sexual Violence Against Women.
